"Mr. Hyunh Goes Country" is an episode of Hey Arnold!.

Synopsis

Arnold and Gerald uncover Mr. Hyunh's skill for singing and writing country songs, and make him famous as his managers, however Mr. Hyunh would quite keep his easy existence.

Plot

Arnold and Gerald see Mr. Hyunh, who got here out of the shower making a song a western song in a fantastic making a song voice, that of which Gerald asks about, leaving Hyunh answering he does it for a laugh. He sings the closing line of his track in that western voice as he starts to modify, much to the lads' surprise.

The boys are then in Arnold's room speaking about Hyunh's making a song voice, and considering of a few concepts after the previous discussed that the latter must be on the radio. Arnold's thought was if Hyunh makes a country/western song, and if it is a hit, he would possibly surrender his process at his restaurant, and depart the boarding space. Gerald had a much better idea in mind; if Hyunh makes the report, the 2 become his managers. He then imagines what'll happen later in the episode:

Arnold thinks it sound great, however they need to communicate to Hyunh about it first.

Later, Hyunh sings "The Simple Things" on his guitar within the western voice. After, Gerald asks him about him making a song in that voice and writing his own songs, just for Hyunh to reply to with him doing so to chill out. Gerald then tells Hyunh the speculation the former and Arnold came up with: being famous! Hyunh thinks "rich and famous" could be very humorous, but he doesn't want to be. Arnold tells him if he is wealthy, he may just reside wherever he needs, but Hyunh tells the 2 he likes what he likes best possible. At the recording studio, Hyunh pays the recordist to do a music, and he is of the same opinion. In the booth, sooner than getting able, Hyunh by accident bumps into a microphone, leaving the backing band giggling. The recordist begins recording and the track begins. After Hyunh sings a line, the recordist is shocked and thinks he is listening to a country/western megastar, a lot to the boys' enjoyment. After, Gerald nonetheless brings up the radio gimmick to Hyunh, but the latter nonetheless disagrees and goes to his process. Later, Arnold and Gerald pass to the radio station to play the music to Ned. He loves it, however can't play it even though. After he leaves, the group is proud of his accomplishments! At the Sunset Arms, Gerald and Arnold plan Hyunh to perform at the county truthful on Friday. Although he is working at the restaurant on that day, he performs anyway, however he does so in taste, and I mean literally, in a cowboy outfit. After he give autographs and performs, Gerald informs him to smile a little bit on the 5th number.

Eventually, much to Hyunh's wonder, a limo pulls up, and out comes the host of the Great Ole Opry, Travis Randall (Randy Travis plays him)! He's been listening to Hyunh's music, and he likes it. Travis invitations Mr. Hyunh to the Opry... on national TV! Hyunh watches the Opry and he is shocked that he may well be performing there if he's k with it. If he's, he could cross on tour! That's 30 cities in 2 months to be actual!

Back at the boarding house, Hyunh feels fearful presently about going or no. Arnold tells him he doesn't must do it, however Hyunh says he's doing it for him, Gerald, and Travis. Hyunh has to make a large resolution: move on excursion or don't. Believe me, it's tough from time to time.

It's Opry night time, and Mr. Hyunh has made his final resolution: play anyway. He has to face the song. He then goes to the degree, however at the back of the curtains. Travis says every so often he hears a voice that sounds beautiful, and then he introduces Mr. Hyunh to the crowd. As Mr. Hyunh steps up to the mic, he says a few issues earlier than he begins, like on how a lot he loves country track, and he says it's his first... AND LAST time making a song on the Opry.
